A Capital of Culture sleep

Planning a visit to Tallin in 2011 while it's a Capital of Culture? Check out the Von Stackelberg Hotel, overlooking the Old Town. It was built in 1874 by a German nobleman, and while there are many original features like itslimestone walls, modern amenities (think heated bathroom floors, walk-in showers and baths, computer monitors and free Internet) bring a stay here up a few comfort notches.

The hotel has a two-night package until April 30 for €220 that includes dinner for two, breakfast and an hour-and-a-half use of the Zen Spa and Japanese pool. vonstackelberghotel.com.
