B&B on Big Island

High above Kealakekua Bay, on the western coast known as Big Island’s coffee belt, you’ll find the five-room Ka’awa Loa Plantation B&B. The plantation, which produces coffee and tropical fruit, will rent out one of its five rooms for US$125 a night, with a minimum two-night stay. Breakfast is included in the price, and you can expect to feast on freshly picked avocado, dragon fruit, guava, passion fruit and white pineapple. At the end of the day, get all sweaty in a traditional Hawaiian outdoor cedar steam room. Then, cool off on the lovely verandah. Kids are not welcome. (808) 323-2686, .
