Sleep in a Bohemian brewery

Not surprising, the Czech Republic - the birthplace of pilsner - is also home to the brewery hotel. The U Rybiček in the historic hilltop town of Stříbro, a two-and-a-half-hour train ride west of Prague, is in a stone building dating from the 17th century. Amenities in the nine guest rooms are entirely up-to-date, as the hotel was renovated in 2007. Of course, the hotel has its own pub and restaurant, which serves old-fashioned Bohemian grub. Doubles start at $54. Apartments with more space and small kitchens, from $65. (011-420) 604-280-787; urybicek.eu.
