Jamaica’s Port Antonio

Goblin Hill in Port Antonio, Jamaica, is a collection of one- and two-bedroom villas overlooking the turquoise water of San San Bay. It has the best of what Jamaica has to offer: beaches, mountains, waterfalls, caves, rain forests, a "bottomless" blue hole, snorkelling and rafting.

It's an hour drive to Moore Town in the Blue Mountains, the settlement that is home to the Windward Maroons, a unique community founded by escaped slaves. The hotel is full of amenities and all the villas are air conditioned. Rates start at US$135 for a one-bedroom garden view in summer and US$155 in winter. (800) 472-1148;
