Point Pelee wildlife B&B

Located on a hectare of woodland, 15 minutes from Ontario's Point Pelee National Park, the Wild Rose B&B in Wheatley has three guest suites, each with private bath. The B&B is owned by Tom Hince, a birding expert, and Lily Shuster, a former park employee. It's the right place if you're visiting to view the park's birds and butterflies migrating across the Great Lakes to Mexico. Spring is the best time to see the birds and September is monarch month. It's tough to predict exactly which days they'll flutter in, but you can call the park's hotline for a recorded report. Rooms from $100. (519) 322-2371. www.netcore.ca/~peleetom/.
