Monte Carlo's friendly sharks

The Oceanographic Museum of Monaco (Avenue Saint-Martin; oceano.mc; adults €14 teens €10 kids €7) is Monte Carlo’s most stunning museum. Built atop a sheer rock face, the aquarium has over 100 pools, and emphasizes research and sustainability. Beginning in June and running until 2015, the aquarium is featuring its Sharks: A Thrilling Experience exhibit, which aims to reverse the ocean predators’ sometimes negative reputation and highlight the danger that humans pose to sharks. You’ll be able to view live sharks in the aquarium’s six-metre-deep Shark Lagoon, see conceptual and interactive shark art, examine shark jaw bones and skeletons, and why, you’ll even be able to pet some of the adorable little killing machines.
