When fact meets fiction

Indiana Jones and the Adventure of Archaeology is making its world premiere at the Montreal Science Centre now until September 18. The 930-square-metre exhibit is as much about archeology as it is about the film.

It includes a high-tech interactive tour through 14 legendary Indiana Jones sites and movie props like the Ark of the Covenant, a life-size sarcophagus from the Well of Souls, Mutt’s motorcycle and a crystal skeleton from Akator on its throne. The costumes of all the leading ladies and that of Jones himself are also on display.

The exhibit also includes ancient artifacts from the National Geographic Society and the Penn Museum. Montreal production company X3 worked with world-renowned specialists to ensure that the exhibit is a factual interpretation of the field of archeology.

This is the exhibit’s only Canadian stop before Europe and the Asia-Pacific region. Adults $23; teens 13 to 17 and seniors 60 plus $20; kids $13.50; family pass for four $63. (877) 496-4724; montrealsciencecentre.com.
