Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam.

Airports that fly high
Ask anyone about their worst flying experience and no doubt you’ll hear some unbelievable stories. Ask about their best and some may be at a loss for words. Skytrax Research out of the UK did the latter, however, and they got 12.1 million people from 108 nationalities to pipe in. This year’s World Airport Awards considers 395 airports across 39 different criteria from check-in, arrivals and transfers to shopping, security and immigration through to departure at the gate. The biggest winners follow. For more: worldairportawards.com.
