A bloody mess

It’s amazing how something so small can make a grown person so uncomfortable. And blood-sucking bedbugs are about to do it again. According to the Daily Mail, British Airways had to fumigate one of its planes in February after 28-year-old Zane Selkirk complained of being badly bitten by the creepy crawlies on a January Los Angeles-to-London flight. Selkirk reported an equally itchy experience on a February Bangalore-to-London flight, but there’s been no confirmation of an infestation on that Boeing.

Guess it’s only a matter of time before websites like the Bedbug Registry (bedbugregistry.com) adds airlines to its database of user-submitted reports. The predominantly North American hotel registry recently added a cruise ship section to their website as well as (coincidently?) a UK section. To read more about Selkirk’s British Airways ordeal complete with pics of her bites, check out her website ba-bites.com.
