Look ma, no hands!

It’s going to be the highest, full-circle, hands-free walk in the world and it’s going to be smack in the heart of downtown Toronto. Scheduled to open on August 1 during the CN Tower’s 35th anniversary year, EdgeWalk will wrap around the tower’s main pod, 356 metres in the air.

The 1.5-metre-wide ledge will be railing free (read: nothing for you to grip in fear), but you will be attached to an overhead safety rail via a harness and trolley system. Whew.

Groups of six to eight will teeter along the 150 metres together. The walk itself takes 20 to 30 minutes; the entire experience with briefing is an hour and a half. Tickets, on sale now, are $175, including souvenir photo and video. (416) 601-3833; edgewalkcntower.ca.
