A company by any other name…

If Bruce Poon Tip could see into the future, he probably would’ve named his business something else. The founder of what used to be “Gap Adventures,” the Toronto-based adventure-travel tour operator, recently ended a five-year, $5-million legal dispute with clothing giant Gap Inc. by agreeing to change the name of his 22-year-old company to “G Adventures.” “They spent four times that.” Poon Tip said, referring to Gap Inc. “They didn’t beat us, they out-spent us.” The tour operator officially became “G Adventures” on October 1. “Our name may have changed, but our principles have not….” Poon Tip said in a press release. “We’re still available 24/7 to answer questions.
