A beautiful pass

Edmonton’s new Ultimate and U-Pick Passes can save you up to 60 percent off the admission cost at a combo of the city’s must-see attractions. The Ultimate Pass costs $59.95 for adults and $45 for kids three to 17, and entitles users to one free general admission at each 15 participating venues for one calendar year.

The U-Pick Pass is $29.95 for adults and $22.50 for kids. It entitles visitors to one free general admission at any four of the 15 venues over a seven day period. Not a bad deal considering the adult admission at some participating hotspots: TELUS World of Science, $23.50; Devonian Botanical Gardens, $13; Art Gallery of Alberta (AGA), $12.50.

The deal is even sweeter when you consider that an 80-piece exhibit like Andy Warhol: Manufactured is on at the AGA now until August 21. The AGA will be the only Canadian venue to host the exhibit that will include Warhol’s portraits of Elizabeth Taylor, Jackie Kennedy and Judy Garland, as well as selections from the Campbell’s Soup series and his hot pink The Last Supper. The passes can be purchased at edmontonattractions.com.
