An amusement park that’s really special

It’s being billed as the first “ultra-accessible” family fun park in the world and it might very well be. Designed for kids and adults with special needs, Morgan’s Wonderland in San Antonio, TX is a 10-hectare park that features 25 attractions including rides, playgrounds and a three-hectare fishing lake. Everything is wheelchair accessible; the carousel even includes “adaptive animals” for people who can’t sit upright. There’s a music garden, a water works play area and a sensory village with a grocery store, fix-it shop and TV station. The park also includes Braille signage. Admission requires online or phone reservation prior to visiting. Free for individuals with special needs; $5 for accompanying friends and family; $15 for everyone else.
