A box for the night

We imagine the Sleepbox might be a little claustrophobic, but it’s certainly better than trying to catch some Zs on a grimy airport floor. Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport must agree because they’re the latest to install a bunk-bed version of the freestanding, mobile box already in Bangkok, Beijing and Paris airports.

In addition to two-metre-long beds that automatically change the “linens,” the 3.75-square-metre box includes a built-in LCD TV, Wi-Fi, electric sockets, luggage space and, of course, a ventilation system.

It can be rented for as little as 15 minutes to hours, and are accessed via electronic key. The Sleepbox website prices the box at US$9700 for large orders and suggests charging US$15 per hour and US$50 to US$60 per night.;
