Vegas’ big buffet

We wish the Bacchanal Buffet at Caesars Palace well. After all, the new Vegas resto cost US$17 million to reno. Yikes. Breakfast costs US$19.99, lunch US$24.99 and dinner US$39.99 so we figure if each and every one of the resto’s 600 seats is full for all three meals everyday for a year, it’ll start to turn a profit. Doable – we think. The hot new resto features nine open kitchens (read: chefs as entertainment) and 500 items on its menu. There’s a Chinese kitchen (for dim sum), an Italian one (for wood-fired Neapolitan pizzas), Japanese, Mexican, and a seafood and dessert section too. And, lest we forget, the hotel’s Colosseum is home to Celine Dion’s mega show and, beginning in December 2012, it’ll host Shania Twain’s too.
