Cranberry Sauce

Not just for Christmas turkey, this sauce is great with pork too.

For a thicker sauce, decrease the water by 1/3 cup. For one that’s a little more tart, decrease the sugar by 1/3 cup.

1 c. (250 ml) water
1 c. (250 ml) granulated sugar
3 c. (750 ml) fresh or frozen cranberries

In a medium saucepan, combine water and sugar. Bring to a boil and boil 5 minutes. Add cranberries. Return to boil and cook until skins pop, about 5 minutes.

Remove from heat and chill until set.

Makes about 2 cups.
