Barcelona: Meal with a view

Mediterranean countries have mastered the art of taking it easy. Maybe it's the gorgeous weather and lush landscapes: if you lived there, you'd want to just sit back and drink it in, too. For proof, look no further than the practice of the two-hour lunch. In Barcelona, a long lingering meal should also include sparkling sea views. Take the funicular to the top of Mount Tibidabo and head to the Gran Hotel La Florida, where the Orangerie Restaurant comes with a sweeping panorama of the sea and city amid scented gardens. Or head to the beach in the Barceloneta district and go to Can Majó for a seafood paella or the local variation called fideuà (where noodles replace rice). Wherever you go, make sure you take your sweet time.;
